Northern Ireland temperatures to soar but Hurricane Michael is on way

Northern Ireland is set to bask in summer sunshine as a surge of warm air sends the mercury soaring across the UK – but autumnal weather will return by the weekend. Rain is expected to clear away by lunchtime today as temperatures climb to well above the October average of 12C. The Met Office said the final blast of summer could send the mercury as high as 18C in Belfast.
