Pig prices rise as ASF crisis forecast to last five years

Farmers Weekly UK pig prices have risen again this week as forecasts suggest China will take longer to recover from the African swine fever (ASF) crisis than first estimates suggested. Figures published by AHDB Pork show the EU-spec standard pig price (SPP) reached 157.7p/kg in the week ended 2 November, up 0.92p/kg.
